The World Situation at the Time of His Coming 

“And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and His disciples came to Him for to shew Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you” Matt, 24:1-4.

The Lord Jesus Christ warned the disciples and all of us through His written Word that we must not be deceived by the trends of history. We have a duty and a responsibility to rightly interpret world events. In Matthew 24, Christ was instructing the disciples on the trends of history that will bring to an end the dispensation of the Hebrews the future age of the Tribulation of Israel. These trends of history must exist prior to the rapture as they will come into full manifestation during the age of the Tribulation. These historical trends are signs to us that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming again, just as He promised He would!

HE IS NOT TALKING ABOUT THE END OF THE WORLD BUT THE END OF AN AGE! The dispensation of the Kingdom of God the Father on Earth will be instituted at Christ’s Second Advent and He will rule over the earth during the future age of Christ’s Millennial Reign (cf. Rev. 20:3 with Ps. 2 & Zech. 14).

Lawlessness will be a major factor in world history at the time of Christ return and the end of the age!
