STANDING IN THE FAITH

"Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love." I Corinthians 16:13-14 NASV

The United States of America is in danger!

You may be one of the many American Christians we know, who are in denial about the true state of affairs in our country. The failure to understand and apply Bible doctrine to evaluate the spiritual, moral, social, economic, and military state of the union has caused many Christians to have a false interpretation of current events. If you are one of the many believers who are wearing blinders to protect you from observing the many problems within our nation today then all we can do is pity you.

We are not talking about interpreting current events through prophecy but interpreting current events in the light of Biblical norms and standards. We hear a lot about spirituality in the land but what we observe is that emotional ecstatic experiences are being passed off for spiritual life experiences.

Every Christian needs to remember that every unsaved person is spiritually dead and needs to be born again (cf. John 3:1-18). The unbeliever cannot understand the teachings of the Word of God concerning spiritual things (cf. I Cor. 2:6-16). The Christian way of life is a supernatural spiritual way of life that results from the believer "walking in the Spirit" (cf. Gal. 5:16, 25) and being "guided by the Spirit" (see Rom. 8:14). Every believer is commanded to live by faith (cf. Rom. 1:17) and this faith must be based upon the teachings of the Word of God (cf. Rom. 10:17). WE DO NOT LIVE BY BLIND FAITH BUT BY FAITH IN THE PROMISES AND PRINCIPLES FOUND IN THE WORD OF GOD!

As believers, we are commanded to be on the "alert" at all times, so that we can correctly interpret the current events of human history. It is important for each and every one of us to come to a correct understanding of the temporal and spiritual problems that exists within the United States at this very moment.
