The Fathers Eternal Purpose for Believers |
|
Written by John K. Eichmann
|
“No man hath seen God (the Father) at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared him.” John 1:18
God the Son, as the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, came at the incarnation to explain the Father. No member of the Adamic (human) race had ever seen the Father, who eternally exists in His infinite glory beyond the comprehension of the finite natural mind of man (cf. I Cor. 2:7-16). It is impossible to know the truth about God the Father apart from a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ (cf. John 14:6)
“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.” I John 1:3-4
The Son did not leave heaven simply to save you and me. He came, not only to save us, but to make it possible for us to correctly learn about God and then to enjoy spiritually mature fellowship with the Father and with His Son.

The Lord Jesus Christ Is Coming Soon |
|
Written by John K. Eichmann
|
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” Revelation 22:20
The Lord Jesus Christ last message to the church universal (the mystical body of Christ) is “Surely I come quickly”. The Lord Jesus Christ did not lie and therefore the promise of His soon coming is an unbreakable promise. He made this promise in either late 95 or early 96 AD. It was recorded in Scripture by the Apostle John for the benefit of every believer from that date until His return.
This promise was given by “The Son” who is the eternal person of the Lord Jesus Christ. He made this promise as the God-Man in His hypostatic eternal glorified human resurrection body. John was caught up to the third heaven (cf. Rev. 4:1-2) to see the divine revelation of things to come (cf. Rev.1:19c with 4:3-22:21). He had already been instructed on things he had seen (cf. Rev. 1:19a with vv 4-20), and things which were occurring in the church age and would continue until Christ return (cf. Rev. 1:19b with 2:1-3:22). Christ actually made the promise four different times in His last prophetic message which He sent to every believer (cf. Rev. 3:11; 22:7, 12, 20). You will notice that the promise is actually given three times in the closing fifteen verses of the book. That fact alone should cause us all to pause and consider the importance of this prophetic promise.
